The STORY project focuses on engaging young people in environmental sustainability by utilizing storytelling techniques. It utilizes informal education and peer-to-peer learning, both in-person and online, to create an enriching learning environment. Participants will acquire knowledge and share best practices related to sustainable living, particularly emphasizing sustainable travel behaviors. They will learn to use storytelling to convey meaningful narratives, inspiring their peers throughout the EU to embrace positive change.
The project’s specific objectives are as follows:
- Enhancing understanding: Provide young people with a comprehensive grasp of environmental sustainability and their individual impact. This will involve hosting webinars where young speakers share insights and facilitate discussions, engaging participants from across Europe and international speakers with expertise in environmental sustainability.
- Developing storytelling skills: Cultivate young people’s storytelling abilities to effectively share personal and collective stories. The project aims to raise awareness about the power of storytelling and enhance related skills through workshops and webinars in Bologna. Participants will learn various storytelling techniques for individual and group use, promoting collaborative writing and storytelling with an activist agenda.
- Building a youth-focused media platform: Empower young participants to advocate for sustainable living by creating a collaborative media platform. Through the acquired knowledge and skills, participants will shape their views on sustainable habits and collectively promote them. The project will culminate in the launch of a digital platform to showcase materials created during workshops, such as texts, stories, videos, and research on environmental sustainability. This platform aims to sustain the project’s impact long-term and represent the voice of European youth advocating for sustainability.
